GILMNET 2015 HANDING OVER AND INDUCTION HELD AT OLA GIRLS

Girls Leadership and Mentorship Network (GILMNET) held a handing over and induction for the outgoing and incoming executives on the 1st of May.This years handing over was held at the OLA girls assembly hall with the presence of the senior housemistress Mrs Charlotte Crentsil, the assistant headmistress Sis.Theresa Kusi Animaa,the GADeF CEO Mr Emmanuel Marfo and two other staff from GADeF/Phinklife.
The program lasted for an hour as part of the activities on the program we had talk on how to avoid the negative influence of social media by Sis Theresa Kusi Animaa from which a lot of lessons were as to how they are going to leave their life as they are going to the tertiary institution and those still schooling how they can combine the two without any difficulties the advantages, the dangers and how useful it can be for the girls.The CEO gave his last words to the outgoing executives and to the incoming executives to work to the extreme to continue the good works their predecessors have started to raise the networks name in the school at large .
The executives and members received certificates for their effective participation in the club as a token to mark their good works done.Later on we had a speeches from the out going president and incoming president.Martha Navele gave us the vote of thanks and the meeting came to its climax with a closing prayer.

LITWORLD CLUB ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVES

Global Alliance for Development Foundation (GADeF)'s newly established LitWorld club at Fountain Gate elects new and first executives to run the club till September this year.
The executive positions were characterized into five namely;President,Vice- President,General Secretary,Organizing Secretary and Public Relation Officer (P.R.O).Since its a new class member were briefed about the roles of every executive and chance were given to them to stand for the position they were interested in and the end of the meeting it turned out that Miss Elizabeth Oppong was the president,Miss Gifty Achiga vice- president,Miss Wendy Tetteh general secretary,Miss Francisca Agyeiwaa organizing secretary and Miss Deborah Sawyer our P.R.O.

2015 WORLD READ ALOUD DAY AT FOUNTAIN GATE INTERNATIONAL

Global Alliance for Development Foundation (GADeF) in partnership with LitWorld organized a World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) at Fountain Gate International School on 4th March with 25 club members of LitWorld. Among the 25 members, we had 10 of them contesting with three lucky winners for the read aloud competition.

The competition was taken in two rounds, with each round five students contesting. The contestants were given a news paper from which each student is allowed to choose the story of choice and given two minutes to read.

We had three judges for the competition, the first judge was looking at the fluency of the contestants, the second judge was looking at the words pronunciation and the third judge looked at how fast they  can read, all these were being checked while they read their news items.

 After the two rounds three girls came out as our winners for the 2015 WRAD. The second runner up had 12 points, the first runner up had 12.5 points and the winner had 14 points.

Each of the winners received a certificate from LitWorld. One of the teachers gave out the certificate for the 2nd runner up, GADeF administrator gave out the certificate for the 1st runner up and GADeF programs coordinator gave out the certificate for the winner.
